The 2018-19 season will be Rick Edelmann's 6th as Bentley University's head men's and women's tennis coach.
Edelmann has led the men's team to the NE10 Semifinals in each of his first five seasons, and has led them overall record of 63-42 and 28-17 in NE10 matches since taking over. He guided the women's team to the 2014 NE-10 Playoffs in his first season, and in 2016-17, while also helping the team establish a new program record for wins in a season with 15, achieved each of the last two years.
Edelmann has coached numerous All-Conference selections from both teams during his time at Bentley, and both of his squads excel academically and are regularly among the most well represented on the ITA Scholar-Athlete teams.
Edelmann was announced as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Bentley on December 17, 2013 with a resume that includes over 20 years of experience as an NCAA tennis coach. He came to Waltham after five-plus seasons as the head men's tennis coach at Boston University.
Bentley University (formerly Bentley College), founded in 1917, is a private college of business and liberal arts. Its 163-acre campus is located in Waltham, nine miles from Boston.
