Sean McInerney (Mac-in-er-nee) is in his fourth season as Utah State head women’s tennis coach after being hired on May 2, 2013. Overall, McInerney is just the second-ever head coach for the Aggie women in their 29 years of Division I competition.
During the 2015-16 season, McInerney’s Aggies earned a post-season win for the second-consecutive season as USU defeated Air Force in the Mountain West Championships, 4-3. It was the first time since 2003 that the Aggies won a post-season match in back-to-back years. Utah State ended the year with an 11-13 record, just the seventh time in school history USU finished the season with double-digit wins, three of which have come under McInerney.
