Coach Jay Evans was named the next Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach at West Virginia Wesleyan College in July 2020, after spending three seasons as Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach at Davis & Elkins College. Evans achieved PTR Level II Certification in March 2020.
West Virginia Wesleyan men's tennis has won the Mountain East Conference Championship in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019, as well as NCAA Tournament appearances every year since 2008, while the women's tennis program finished tied for 2nd in 2019 with a semifinal appearance in the MEC tournament. The 2021 men's tennis team finished as runners-up in the Mountain East Conference and advanced to their 12th straight NCAA tournament.
West Virginia Wesleyan, founded in 1890, is a church-affiliated college. Its 80-acre campus is located in Buckhannon, in north-central West Virginia.
