Craig Davidson is a West Hartford native and entering his third season as the Head Coach at USJ. He spent eight years as a Tennis Professional at the Enfield Tennis Club, where he taught tennis among a variety of age and skill groups. He did the same at Suffield Country Club and Litchfield Country Club, where he was the head pro. Davidson spent three years as the head tennis pro at the JCC Swim and Tennis Club down the road from USJ in Bloomfield, Conn.
Davidson spent a year as the head men's tennis coach at John Jay College in New York City. While at John Jay in 2009-10, Davidson led the Bloodhounds to a 10-4 overall record and 6-2 mark in City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) play. He also guided them to the CUNYAC Semifinals that year, and saw five of his student-athletes earn CUNYAC All-Conference honors. Two of his players were named Academic All-Americans. Craig is the founder/owner of the tennis company LOVE TENNIS LLC. He's also the program director of the ACEing Autism program in West Hartford, CT (USJ).
On the court, Davidson was a top-10 USTA New England Junior tennis player from 1990-98 and ranked in the top-120 nationally. He was also a singles champion in the 1997 CIAC Class L Boys Tennis State Tournament and was recruited out of high school to play Division I collegiate tennis.
University of Saint Joseph (formerly Saint Joseph College), founded in 1932, is a private, church-affiliated college. The university's undergraduate programs are open to women only. The graduate and continuing education programs are co-ed. Its 84-acre campus is located in West Hartford.
