A Level 3 RSPA Elite Professional, Scott serves as the Head Men's Tennis Coach and Director of the Professional Tennis Management (PTM) Program at Methodist University. He is certified by the ATP/GPTCA and coaches several select junior tennis players through Fayetteville Tennis Academy.
Scott currently serves on the USTA National Sportsmanship Committee and chairs the USTA/Southern Pro Relations Committee. He is a BlazePod Master Trainer and developed the BlazePod Tennis Drills & Skills Handbook for the tennis industry.
He is involved in numerous industry initiatives as he wrote the USTA PTM Accreditation Manual and developed several courses/modules for the new RSPA Level Two Certification. He serves as a Coach Developer for the USTA, RSPA and PTR and has numerous certifications: ITPA Certified Tennis Performance Trainer, ATP/GPTCA Level B Coach, RacquetFit Level One, Etcheberry Fitness Professional, PPR Pickleball Professional, USTA Referee and Official and PTR Level 3 Master of Tennis Performance.
He has developed 71 junior players who went on to play collegiate tennis, including two NCAA Division I Singles Champions and several players who competed on the professional tours. He has been president of several USTA community tennis associations and served as the director of the Andy Roddick Mountain Challenge, which raised over a half-million dollars to start the Boys & Girls Club of the High Country of North Carolina.
Scott graduated from Queens University of Charlotte with a degree in business and has a M.Ed. in Curriculum Development from AIU Online. He is currently completing his doctorate (D.B.A.) in Business Administration from Grand Canyon University.
