Doug Linden is entering his fourth year as the Oilers head men and women’s tennis coach during the 2016-17 campaign. During his tenure at UF, Linden has led the men's team to a 33-29 record and the women's squad to a 10-35 mark.
During his tenure with the programs, Linden has coached four male athletes to first team all-conference accolades. He has also produced one second teamer and three honorable mention selections. On the women's side, Linden has coached one second team all-conference player and three honorable mention picks.
In 2015-16, Linden's men's team finished the year with an 11-12 record while the women's squad ended with a 1-12 mark.
During the 2014-15 campaign, Linden led the men's team to a 10-9 finish while the women's squad ended the year with a 3-12 mark.
Linden had great success with the men's program during his first season as the Oilers finished with a 12-8 record. They also recorded a runner-up finish at the 2014 GLIAC Tournament, their highest placing ever at the event. He also guided the women's squad to a 6-11 record on the year.
Linden, who served as an assistant coach for both the men and women at Oberlin College during the 2011-2012 season, was the head coach at St. Mary Central High School in Sandusky, Ohio from 2008-12.
Linden also worked as the head tennis professional at the Baywinds Athletic Club from 2010-12 and was a coach at the Competitive Training Center from 2010-11.
As a player, Linden won an Ohio state championship in doubles competition during the 1981 campaign.
Findlay, founded in 1882, is a church-affiliated, liberal arts university. Its 142-acre campus is located in Findlay, 45 miles south of Toledo.
