Andre Buchanan-Dempsey enters his first year as a assistant coach for the women's tennis team. After joining the team helped the number one player reached the consolation semi-finals of the ITA Regionals. After being mentored by Coach John Newman, who won 20 conference championships, earned nine berths to the national tournament, won 11 Coach of the Year awards and had his teams ranked nationally 27 times at the conclusion of the season, Andre acquired the skill set to lead the team.
Andre Buchanan-Dempsey was a three-year letterwinner on the Cardinal tennis team, where he was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
University of the Incarnate Word
Incarnate Word, founded in 1881, is a church-affiliated, liberal arts university. Its 57-acre campus, including a villa listed with the National Register of Historic Places, is located on a former estate.
