How do I enroll in the College Tennis Tour & Showcase?

You can enroll by clicking on the Player or Coach "Sign Up" button on the Home Page. Once your account has been created, select the event you wish to participate and proceed to complete the enrollment form. Click Here to Enroll

What age/grade is allowed to participate?

For the College Tennis Tour, you must be a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior in high school. For the College Tennis Showcase at Rice University, enrollment is open to any grade level.

Is this an overnight program?

The College Tennis Tour is a 7-day overnight program. For players who are only participating in the 2-Day showcase, accommodations are not included. Our official Showcase hotel offers a special rate for all showcase participants.

Do you offer Transportation?

Transportation is offered at all times for players participating in the College Tennis Tour. This includes airport pickup and dropoff. For showcase only players daily transportation will be offered from the Official Hotel to the Rice University tennis courts.

How are payments made?

For the College Tennis Tour, there is a required non-refundable deposit is $ 750. Payment is due in full 45 days prior to the start date. If you are applying for a program less than 45 days from the program start date, you must complete full payment and all enrollment paperwork.

For the Showcase only players full payment is due at enrollment.

Is there a deadline? When do spots fill up?

We do not have a formal enrollment deadline for our programs. We encourage the family to sign up as quickly as possible once you know your availability this summer to ensure we will still have space available in the program. We occasionally have to close enrollment due to space limitations, so please consider signing up for the program at least 45 days prior to the program start date.

How many players is the maximum for the College Tennis Tour & Showcase?

A maximum of 40 players will be accepted in the College Tennis Tour and 80 players for the Showcase at Rice University. Enrollment will be closed once these numbers have been reached.

What is your cancellation policy?

In the case of player's cancellation or no show, the tour deposit is non-refundable. All other payments may be refunded if the Protection Plan has been purchased by the family. In the case of inclement weather conditions or any major disaster, the showcase times will be rescheduled to be played no later than Sunday 7/30. If no matches are played, USP will credit the payment for a future showcase or services.

Which college coaches will be participating in the showcase?

USP sends an invitation to over 2000 colleges coaches across the 50 States and members of all athletic divisions: NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA. Confirmation from colleges will be sent closer to the event date. An average of 65 colleges participates in the USP College Tennis Showcases every year.

Is this event for International Players also?

The USP College Tennis Tour & Showcase is an International event. Players from different states in the USA and all around the world are allowed to participate.

Where will players stay?

All accommodations will be at high-quality hotels located near college campuses. There will be 2 to 3 players per room. Staff will be staying on the same floor in order to supervise players at all times.

Can friends request to be roommates?

Yes, students of the same gender may make a mutual request and we will do our best to accommodate the request. These requests need to be mutual and need to be received prior to the preparation of the housing list for the Tour. If there are more than two students requesting each other we will do our best to room them together or near each other. Any other arrangements would need to be approved in writing by the Tour Director to be considered guaranteed.

What is the supervision like? Who are your staff members?

Our College Tennis Tour has an adult instructor to student ratio that averages 1:12. Players are supervised 24 hours. Staff includes Tour Director, Tour Coordinator and Player Coordinators. Check out "The Staff" Tab to meet the Tour Staff.

Where will players eat during the College Tennis Tour?

All breakfast will take place at the hotels. Lunch and Dinner will be at quality restaurants that offer a variety of foods that fulfill the needs of young athletes.

How do we handle dietary restrictions, medications and health issues?

If special dining/dietary needs are required, we will do our best to accommodate the player. If students will be bringing medication, or have special medical needs, please indicate that on our medical form. The College Tennis Tour and Showcase use facilities with medical clinics and hospitals nearby, we do not have a nurse on site at our programs. Generally, we ask families to equip their child to store and administer his/her application individually and do not take possession of medication or administer medication directly to the students. We may make special accommodations outside of the policy, however, so please contact our office to discuss your individual situation.

At what time do College Tennis Tour players need to arrive and leave?

Players need to arrive between 12:00 noon until 6:00 pm on Sunday 7/23 and return before 12:00 noon on Sunday 7/30

Can parents accompany the players during the College Tennis Tour?

The College Tour is designed for players only. No parents are allowed in the Tour Buses while traveling to each campus. Parents are welcome to join any of the campuses tours if they wish to do so. One of the main purposes of the College Tennis Tour is for players to learn about the life of a college student-athlete, and share the entire experience with other players from across the USA and the World.
